Real Irish Weddings

A collection of real weddings shot all over Ireland. I believe it’s important to see wedding photography work that’s about real people and not just professional models photographed over long periods of photographic set ups and takes long amounts of time and direction. People on their wedding day rarely want to spend too much time away from their family and friends doing the “Photo Shoot”. If they do that’s great and I’m happy to spend the extra time to facilitate a more artistic photo shoot but in my experience Irish people want their photographer to minimise their photo shoot time and do it in a fast and professional way that captures their character and the fun of their special day and without being intrusive. When I finish my shoots my bride and grooms always say how easy it was and how they hardly noticed the photo shoot.

“If the photographer is interested in the people in front of his lens, and if he is compassionate, it’s already a lot. The instrument is not the camera but the photographer.”

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
